All the video material is available for free directly from Di Guoyong's website or on youtube. The DVDs have English subtitles but my translations are more complete and correct. Purchase of the PDF translation does not include the videos themselves.

DVD 01: Five Element Fists. The basic five techniques of Hebei style xingyiquan, explained and demonstrated in much detail by Di Guoyong. Di shows full speed, explains clearly in medium speed, and the the video shows slow motion. Also includes the five phases connected routine and the five phases clash paired routine. Run time 64 minutes.

DVD 02: The broadsword's five techniques of Hebei style xingyiquan, explained and demonstrated in much detail by Di Guoyong. Di shows full speed, explains clearly, and the the video shows slow motion. Also included the five phases connected routine. Bring out your primal animal with this routine. Run time 60 minutes.

DVD 03: The spear's five techniques of Hebei style xingyiquan, explained and demonstrated in much detail by Di Guoyong. Di shows full speed, explains clearly, and the the video shows slow motion. Also included the five phases connected routine. This video is long because he was having way too much fun snapping the spear around. Run time 70 minutes.

DVD 04: The straight sword's five techniques of Hebei style xingyiquan, explained and demonstrated in much detail by Di Guoyong. Di shows full speed, explains clearly, and the the video shows slow motion. Also included the five phases connected routine. This is a really fun routine, more hacking and slashing than normal with a straight sword, in true xingyi manner. Although he teaches with a regular sword, he demonstrates with a seriously long sword. Run time 65 minutes.

DVD 05: The staff's five techniques of Hebei style xingyiquan, explained and demonstrated in much detail by Di Guoyong. Di shows full speed, explains clearly, and the the video shows slow motion. Also included the five phases connected routine. This routine is short and sweet. Run time 58 minutes.

DVD 06: The eight skills, 'bazi gong', of Hebei style xingyiquan, explained and demonstrated in much detail by Di Guoyong. Di shows full speed, explains clearly, and the the video shows slow motion. Also includes the eight skills connected routine. This one is long because he is so clear on every single one of the techniques. He really wants you to get this, and there is quite a lot involved, these are among the more advanced techniques of xingyi. Run time 72 minutes.

DVD 07: The 'mixture of moves', 'zashichui' routine of Hebei style xingyiquan, explained and demonstrated in much detail by Di Guoyong. Di shows full speed, explains clearly, and the the video shows slow motion. This is the traditional long routine of xingyi, and shouldn't be learned until you know the five techniques and the twelve animals. Run time 58 minutes.

DVD 08: The 'eight postures' routine, 'ba shi' of Hebei style xingyiquan, explained and demonstrated in much detail by Di Guoyong.

Also included in the video is the Protect the Body paired routine ”Anshenpao".

Di shows full speed, explains clearly, and the the video shows slow motion. The eight postures routine is a traditional short routine of xingyi. It is a really nice little routine still at the basic level, but with a few cool techniques and some new ideas in footwork. You should learn this routine before the partner routine, anshenpao, to get comfortable with the footwork. Run time 58 minutes.

DVD 09: The twelve animal techniques, 'shi er xing', of Hebei style xingyiquan, explained and demonstrated in much detail by Di Guoyong. Di shows full speed, explains clearly, and the the video shows slow motion. He takes his time to explain all twelve animals clearly (he is more lively in person than on video, taking the best of the attitude and movement of each animal). There is also a combined routine shown, but not explained. This combined routine is a good performance routine, as it has a lot of variety. Run time 69 minutes.

Di Guoyong receives royalities for all of my translation sales in all formats.

Comments on Di Guoyong's videos and Andrea's translation

"Master Di Guoyong's VCD's are excellent resources for the thoughtful practitioner. His mastery is immediately evident and his energetic instruction is inspiring. His deliberate teaching method does more than unfurl the essentials of Xingyi; it shows you how to learn and then how to teach. Andrea Falk's translation and clever presentation makes this the finest Xingyi tutorial series I've seen. Altogether fantastic! Thanks, Andrea." James Weston, NC

"I want to commend you for an excellent job in providing a very easily understood, descriptive translation of Master Di Gouyong's Xingyi. Your attention to detail is most helpful in understanding the finer points of this art. I can see why you have said that this is one of the most comprehensive video series on Xingyi! It is especially helpful to have the book formatted in such a way as to provide the reader with a translation of Master Di's instruction with the running time, name of the posture and any other pertinent information necessary to properly performing the routine to be found in the adjoining margin. This is an excellent piece of work. And you are to be commended for doing such an excellent job on what is obviously a difficult and time consuming project." William Johnson, Colorado.

"Having had a quick look at the (Di Guoyong Video) translation, I think you are a STAR!!! It works as a book in its own right even without the VCDs. I say this in all sincerity because I spent an hour with the book before I could get to see a disc. I also see what you mean about Di Guoyong being a 'pure teacher'. The VCDs and book together are amazing. "Keith Alker, England
